Cancellation & Service Policy
Plans change. This policy explains how cancellations, dispatch, special-order items, and missed appointments are handled.
Effective September 16, 2026
Canceling or rescheduling
Please call or text as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. There is no automatic fee merely for submitting a quote request or asking about availability.
After dispatch or arrival
If a technician has already been dispatched, has arrived, or has incurred travel or access expenses for the appointment, a reasonable service-call or trip charge may apply. Any applicable charge will be communicated before dispatch whenever reasonably possible. Canceling after parts, codes, subscriptions, or security access have been purchased does not cancel those authorized costs.
Customer-supplied key is incorrect
If we arrive and determine that a customer-supplied key or remote is incorrect, locked, defective, or incompatible, we can provide an onsite quote for the correct key when available. If the customer approves the replacement job, the $50 plus tax service-call fee will be waived and the approved replacement service will be charged normally.
If the customer declines the replacement quote, a $50 plus tax service-call fee is due for the trip, inspection, and compatibility check. Any separately authorized codes, security access, cutting, or programming attempts may also remain chargeable.
Special-order keys and parts
Standard special orders generally arrive within 5–7 business days, but carrier, supplier, back-order, weather, and security-access delays are outside our control. When available, overnight shipping may be requested for an additional $20 plus applicable tax. Overnight service speeds shipping only and does not guarantee the supplier’s processing time or a specific appointment date.
Special-order, cut, prepared, or otherwise nonreturnable keys, remotes, and parts may require advance payment or a deposit. Once the order is placed or costs are incurred, those amounts are nonrefundable unless the item supplied is incorrect or defective.
Missed appointments, access, and second trips
The customer or an authorized representative must be present, reachable, and able to provide the vehicle or property, required identification, ownership documents, and access at the agreed time. If those conditions are not met, the technician may leave after making a reasonable attempt to contact the customer.
A second trip caused by the customer’s absence, an unavailable vehicle or property, missing verification documents, or failure to provide access will require an additional trip or service-call fee. The fee will be disclosed before the technician is dispatched again. Arrival times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, prior jobs, parts, and security-system delays.
Dealership and business accounts
Dealership, fleet, and recurring commercial customers may have separate written pricing, cancellation, invoicing, or parts terms. Those account-specific terms control when they differ from this general policy.
